"I want the students to fall in love with Crans-Montana, as I did many years ago"

Hi Diletta! What is your role at Le Régent International School?

I teach in the bilingual Infant School with our youngest students, aged three to six years old. I’ve had the pleasure of being at Le Régent for four years now and have been able to participate in school life across all the age groups. I can tell you - whether we’re doing Forest School with the Infants, or high-altitude Long Expeditions with the Seniors, Le Régent really is one of a kind

You are one of our Summer Camp teachers! How does that feel?

It feels great! What more could I want than to be able to share this school and this beautiful place with others who don’t know it yet?

What are you looking forward to showing our campers?

I am very excited about the whole program - the school-based component, as well as the outdoor adventures and challenges! I want to show our campers how special the forests, lakes and streams are, and I want them to fall in love with Crans-Montana, as I did many years ago.

How did you end up in Crans-Montana?

I was born in Sydney, Australia. Although Crans-Montana was on the other side of the world, I’ve been coming here as long as I remember, both in summer and in winter. It has been a family tradition for many decades, and for me it has always felt like home. There is something magical about it, and this magic manages to stay through the ages. I am sure my children and grandchildren will also have a special connection with Crans-Montana.

What do you like the most about this place?

This is a hard question… the thing I like most is so difficult to define. I think it is the feeling of openness. Somehow we all belong, and we all make it ours in our special way.

What is your advice for our campers coming here for the first time?

Don’t worry about a thing. Just pack your bag, and as soon as you arrive your adventure will begin. You will feel at home here, you’ll make great friendships and will discover a world you will always remember.
