"Teaching is a great way to do what I love"

Hello! What's your name and what's your story?

Hi, I’m Miguel! I’m originally from South Africa but moved to teach in London at age 23. I taught there for 7 years. I had an incredible experience where I learned to love my job as a maths teacher even more. I am currently teaching maths at a British school in São Paulo Brazil and looking forward to my experience in Switzerland with Régent Camps

When did you decide to become a Maths teacher?

I love mathematics and solving problems, so I thought what would be the best job for this? Teaching is a great way to do what I love and it's so rewarding. (The school holidays are pretty awesome too!)

What is your best advice for someone who wants to improve in Maths?

Never give up! Know that anyone is capable of achieving the end-result they want if they put their minds to it.

What do you like to do when you are not teaching?

I love travelling, hiking, outdoors, seeing my friends and doing sports.

What are you most looking forward to this summer?

Working at Régent Camps and having my first experience in beautiful Switzerland (and the great weather that comes with it!)
